Shivabalayogi: Tapas Photos

The place where Shivabalayogi was initiated into tapas on August 7, 1949.
The place is about 600 feet outside the village of Adivarapupeta and is by an
irrigation canal that carries water from the Godavari River to the nearby rice
paddies. Looking at this photo, the place is to the left of the small dam.
It was here that God in the form of Shiva appeared to Sathyaraju and made him
sit in tapas.
