Shri Swamiji chanting
aum namah shivaya namaha was recorded in Portland, Oregon, in
1991. The recording was made on whatever tape recorder happened to be
available at the house where he was staying -- a cheap blank cassette
tape and a boom-box. The recording is precious as it is the best in
existence of Swamiji singing.
The original cassette tape has been edited and engineered to remove the hiss and bring out Swamiji's voice clearly. We are grateful to David Malony at Blue Ewe Studios on Whidbey Island for completing this work so beautifully. |
Shri Swamiji agreed to have his singing recorded in 1991 on condition that
the recording not be sold.
Therefore, we particularly insist that no copy may be made or circulated and no
derivative work (adaptation) be made in any way for any commercial purpose.

This copy of the complete 9 min. 44 sec. chant is near CD quality (64 kbps), which means it is also a large file, a little over 4.5 Mbytes. Unless you have a DSL or other broad band connection (that is, you have a dial-up connection), it may take about a half an hour to download.
